Float in the morning, stay the night

We rent boats, not beds — but you do not have to drive home after the float. Coshocton has more lodging within walking distance of the launch than most Ohio liveries, because Roscoe Village is a restored canal town with its own visitors.

If you are coming from Cleveland, Akron or the Hocking Hills, a two-hour drive each way makes for a long day trip. Stay over and you get the river on Saturday morning, Roscoe Village in the afternoon, and the Tiki Bar in between.

Closest to the launch

The Roscoe Boutique Motel is 0.2 miles away and Coshocton Village Inn & Suites is 0.5 miles. Both are an easy walk, so the car stays parked.

Under a mile and a half

Close enough to walk to the launch

These are all in Coshocton or Roscoe Village itself. Park the car for the weekend, walk to the livery in the morning, and walk back to the Tiki Bar afterwards.

A few minutes out

Camping and a short drive

Still close enough for a 9AM shuttle without an early start. The KOA is the nearest thing to the campground setup people look for at bigger liveries.

Ten to sixteen miles

Cabins, lodges and Dresden

Worth the extra fifteen minutes if you want quiet or a whole cabin to yourselves. Dresden is a short run down the Muskingum.
